West Coast Water Survey

Comprehensive analysis of Pacific coastal pollution sources

The West Coast Water Survey was a large-scale environmental project conducted by Tocsin Data to identify and map sources of pollution affecting the Pacific marine ecosystem. The initiative combined field research, geospatial analytics, and collaboration with local partners to better understand the relationship between land-based pollution and coastal water health.

  • Comprehensive Field Surveys: Conducted systematic shoreline and watershed surveys to document visible and measurable pollution sources.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Utilized advanced analytical tools to identify contamination trends and high-risk areas along the Pacific corridor.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Worked with government agencies, environmental organizations, and community groups to ensure a holistic assessment.
  • Pollution Source Identification: Pinpointed entry points where pollutants were entering the ocean, enabling targeted mitigation.
  • Environmental Impact Assessment: Evaluated ecological effects and recommended remediation and prevention strategies.
  • Community Health Protection: Focused on protecting marine biodiversity and the wellbeing of coastal communities dependent on clean water resources.

This project provided a foundation for subsequent monitoring initiatives and informed future sustainability strategies along the West Coast.
